Propose a sessionThe call is open. There is no strict deadline: slots fill as good proposals come in.
The slot
- One hour, in one of the rooms at IPI Academy, Kulina bana 2, Tuzla. See the program.
Thursday 3 June 2027: 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 or 16:00.
Friday 4 June 2027: 09:30, 11:30, 13:30 or 15:30. - Your format: a talk with time for questions, a panel, a workshop, or something else that fits an hour.
- Then an hour off in the cafés on Freedom Square, where the people who heard you can find you.
- In English. Every room has a projector with HDMI.
- For everyone in the room. The rooms have no microphones. Put your main points on your slides, say out loud what is on them, and share the slides afterwards. See accessibility.
- Recording. GoatConf does not record the talks. People who come may bring a camera or a podcast and record, and a supporter may pay for a crew.
Who we are looking for
People with something worth an hour: engineering in any programming language or stack, design, product, founding a company. First-time speakers are welcome. A strong idea counts for more than a famous name.
How a session is picked
- You send your idea through the form. It takes about fifteen minutes.
- The organiser reads it, the session first and your name after.
- You hear back, whatever the answer.
- Once you confirm, your session goes on the program with its day, time and room.
A good idea that does not fit a slot can still happen. Run it as a workshop or a meetup around the talks, and add it.
What you get, and what you pay
- A room, an hour and an audience, and free registration for all three days.
- A profile on the speakers page if you want one: a short bio in your own words, with a photo and links if you like. The program links your name to it.
- You pay your own travel and stay, unless a supporter covers it. A supporter can fund travel grants: tickets or rooms for speakers who ask for help, paid straight to the airline or hotel. If one does, the call will say so. Asking never affects whether your session is picked. When a supporter pays your travel, their logo appears on your profile and on the supporters page.
What the form asks
Have these ready:
- a title and the format
- a few short paragraphs: what it is about, and what people take away
- who it is for, and your field
- the day you prefer
- the name of each speaker
- a link about you (optional)
- whether it is your first talk
- a short bio, and whether we may publish a speaker profile if your session is accepted
- anything that would help us make it work for you
We ask for a photo by email after your session is accepted. By sending the form you accept the code of conduct.
